it's not breakfast and it's not lunch. it's brunch.

It's Sunday morning and in typical fashion of many Angelinos, it's time to get ready for brunch. This morning is a bit different. I'm not heading out to brunch. Instead, it's being made at a residence with friends stopping by. None of this is really all that unusual. But, what I have noticed is the love for brunch on Sunday. Why brunch and why Sunday? How did this made up meal find its way to Sunday? Is this merger of two meals as popular in places other than the major cities? Do folks in Mad River, CA eat brunch? Do you eat brunch? Have a special place or recipe to share?

This is our menu today:
frittata with lots of add-ins
pear and blue cheese quesadilla
roasted potatoes
soy chirozo
asiago chicken sausage
bacon
pear and fig flatbread
mini jelly donuts...don't ask
mimosa

Now, let's investigate this meal of meals.
